Bend Pet Express has announced it will be title sponsor of Bend’s beloved Pet Parade again this year as well as The Old Fashioned Festival in Drake Park.
One of Bend’s most popular summer events since it began in 1932, the Pet Parade gives families and kids the chance to dress up in costume and show off their favorite pets in red, white and blue. Over 8,000 people and pets participate in the fun each year, drawing local and out of town visitors for the celebration.
“The parade has something for everyone. Whether you’re cheering from the sidewalk or in the parade walking with your pet, you’ll have a smile on your face,” says Ryan Kwaterski, Senior Manager of Bend Pet Express. “ We love making sure the tradition lives on, especially because pets are invited!”
For the first time, Bend Pet Express will also be title sponsor of the The Old Fashioned Festival,
organized by Bend Park & Recreation District. The festival begins directly after the parade in Drake Park with live music, food, local artisans and old fashioned games. “Your pets can cheer you on in the pie eating contest or the 3-legged race while they do some relaxing in the shade,” says Kwaterski. “It’s a fun day for everyone. We’re thrilled to support it.”
