Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity recently received a $4,900 grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation to help the organization build an affordable home for a local family in need. The home will be constructed at Habitat’s property in Redmond called Quince Townhomes. Once completed, the site will be home to ten families.

Sherry Jones, U.S. Bank Oregon Cascade District manager, said, “At U.S. Bank our purpose statement reads, ‘We invest our hearts and minds to power human potential.’ We are passionate about investing our time and resources to create the best path forward for our communities. In partnership with Habitat for Humanity, we are able to help the community build strength and stability to envision what is possible through affordable housing.”

“Habitat is honored to be selected as a grant recipient by the U.S. Bank Foundation. There are so many people in need of affordable housing in Central Oregon, and we are committed to making a long-term and transformational impact. With support from our local community, like the U.S. Bank Foundation, we can make a difference,” said Scott Rohrer, Bend-Redmond Habitat executive director.
