Oregon Business Magazine inducts Cardinal Services into Hall of Fame for winning award 10 times and for being one of the original award winners in 1994

On Thursday evening, March 1, Oregon Business Magazine hosted their annual awards dinner at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland announcing the 2018 winners of the 100 Best Places to Work for in Oregon and marking the 25th anniversary of the awards program.

Local Bend business Cardinal Services gains triple honors: Cardinal services, an Oregon-based, family-owned Staffing/HR/Payroll services firm, was named as one of the top companies in the medium-sized business category.  It also had the distinction of being named to the magazine’s Hall of Fame for receiving the award 10 times and for being one of the original companies named to the list when it began in 1994.

The 100 Best Award is generated by the results of employee participation in a confidential, anonymous survey that asks questions pertaining to a company’s quality of the work environment; management and communications; decision making and trust; career development and learning opportunities; and employee benefits and compensation.  To qualify for the award, a minimum of 10% of a company’s workforce must participate in the survey with permanent full-time and part-time employees of Oregon locations eligible to vote, while senior executives and owners may not.  This year, nearly 9,000 employees participated in the 100 Best Companies survey from around the state and from a variety of business sectors.  The awards are further divided by employer size and the number of employees.
