To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the opening of its west side Bend location and to introduce clients and the community to its expanded consulting and care team, Central Oregon Nutrition Consultants (CONC) will host a public open house at its clinic on Monday, October 27, 4:30-7:30pm.
CONC is located at 516 SW 13th St., Ste. 101, in Bend.
“Although we’ve been seeing clients in Central Oregon since 2006, this month marks the first anniversary of our new office space on Bend’s west side,” said Lori Brizee, owner of CONC and a registered and licensed dietitian-nutritionist. “Our more central location and teaching kitchen are helping us focus our services and provide excellent personalized health care.”
Brizee is a certified specialist in pediatric nutrition and has certificates of training in pediatric and adolescent weight management, and adult weight management. With 30-plus years of nutritional experience, she is co-chair of American Association of Diabetes Educators-Oregon and is past membership director of the Oregon Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
New Patient Care Coordinator and office manager Judy Ashby joined CONC in December, thanks to a growing demand for nutrition services with the opening of our new office.
In May, Brizee announced the addition of registered and licensed dietitian-nutritionist (RDN) Natalie Murphy to the CONC team. Murphy holds a bachelor’s degree in food science and human nutrition from Colorado State University and worked with patients at Longmont United Hospital, the University of Colorado Wardenburg Health Center, and in private practice.
“We’re thrilled to welcome a new provider to our practice,” Brizee said. “Natalie is a proponent of the research supported ‘health at every size’ philosophy while working with weight management, eating disorders, digestive issues, heart health, blood sugar regulation and food allergies.”
According to Brizee, CONC has realized great success over the last year with its diabetes program, a time during which she has seen “excellent results working in partnership with local health care practitioners – family physicians, endocrinologists and specialists.”
