Traffickers Prey on Vulnerabilities to Meet Demand

Human trafficking happens 365 days a year in every zip code in America, even Central Oregon. According to local survivors of human trafficking, Central Oregon is a “sweet spot” for recruitment due to the naivete of community members to the realities of human trafficking. Teens are particularly vulnerable.

Come hear how In Our Backyard intercepted HT in partnership with law enforcement surrounding the Super Bowl in Minnesota and is linking arms everyday with schools in Central Oregon and convenience stores nationwide to stop this atrocity. Deepen your understanding of the vital role we all play in stopping human trafficking in our backyard!

On the heels of their 10-day anti-trafficking operation with law enforcement surrounding the Super Bowl, In Our Backyard is hosting a free public event, entitled: Intercepting HT: the Super Bowl, Convenience Stores, Schools & YOU. The event will be held on February 22nd at 6:00pm at St. Charles, Bend (2500 NE Neff Rd., Conf. Rm. A). For more information: 541.639.5008 info@inourbackyard.org
