Central Oregon Community College’s graduation ceremony will take place at 10am on Saturday, June 13, at the Bend campus’s Mazama Field. A reception follows the ceremony; tickets are not required for guests.

For the 2025-26 academic year — including summer term 2025 — the college will be awarding 865 degrees and certificates: 651 degrees and 214 certificates. Approximately 300 graduates will be at the event to receive their diploma.

Of those receiving a COCC degree or certificate, 18 are high school students simultaneously earning college credentials and a high school diploma.

The youngest graduate to be receiving a certificate or degree at this year’s commencement is 17, while the oldest is 65.

The commencement ceremony will feature student speaker Ray Randall of Bend, editor of The Broadside student newspaper. Randall is a member of the prestigious New York Times Corps, a highly competitive journalism training program, and will be attending Howard University in the fall.

COCC was founded in 1949 and held its first commencement in 1955 with 37 graduates.
