Who we are is how we lead. In order to create brave space workplaces where people can bring their full selves to work, leaders at every level need to up their game. To foster powerful, authentic leadership, Roots and Wings Wellness is presenting Dare to Lead with Facilitator Moe Carrick at The Haven Coworking on January 18-19 from 9am to 6pm. The event will be an immersive experience, exploring concepts that allow us to lead with heart and mind in the fullest sense. The two-day workshop is an empirically based, courage-building program based on the most significant findings from Dr. Brené Brown’s latest research, which points to the fact that courage is a collection of four teachable, measurable and observable skill sets. This interactive, engaging and potent workshop will invite participants to deepen their ability to move from ‘armored leadership’ to ‘daring leadership’ in any arena.

The takeaways from this workshop are significant. Dare to Lead offers leaders skills for having hard conversations, holding themselves and others accountable, leading with empathy and connection, taking smart risks that lead to innovation, building trust, resetting quickly after disappointments and setbacks and giving and receiving feedback — especially when it’s tough. Dare to Lead attendee Emi Baxter, a small-business consultant, comments, ‘Clear is kind’ and ‘Unclear is unkind’ are such simple statements, but are really at the core of Dare to Lead and much of Brené’s work. Having boundaries clearly defined with those you interact with is the kindest thing you can do for them and for yourself!”
