As ballots for the November 3 election are mailed (on October 14), the Deschutes County Clerk’s Office is notifying voters of an additional ballot drop box location in Bend.

There are 13 ballot drop boxes across the county, including a new drive-through drop box located in Parking Lot D4 at Central Oregon Community College’s Bend campus, 2600 NW College Way. Voters can find the drop box closest to them by visiting deschutescounty.gov/dropbox.

“This new drop box location will help serve a growing part of our community, said County Clerk Steve Dennison. “We’re excited to be able to offer a new location for voters to exercise their right to vote conveniently and securely.”

Ballot drop boxes will open the morning of Friday, Oct. 16. Voters may return ballots at any drop box until 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters may also return their ballots by mail but are encouraged to mail them no later than Tuesday, Oct. 27 to ensure ballots arrive by Election Day. If mailing closer to November 3, voters should take their ballot to a post office and ask for the ballot envelope to be hand postmarked.

Ballots postmarked on or before November 3 and received by the Clerk’s Office by Tuesday, Nov. 10, will be accepted.
