The Deschutes Soil and Water Conservation District (DSWCD), in partnership with Oregon State University (OSU), recently announced the launch of the Spring 2026 Integrated Water Management Course, a regionally focused program designed to equip Central Oregon producers, landowners and irrigation managers with practical water management skills.

The course runs Thursdays, April 9 through June 18, with evening webinars from 6-8pm and three Saturday field tours. Registration is $90 and seats are limited.

Participants will build hands-on knowledge of irrigation water management principles, tools and strategies tailored to the landscapes and conditions of Central Oregon. The course is open to producers, landowners, land managers, irrigation managers, conservation planners, technical service providers and students.

“As we enter a year defined by drought, Deschutes SWCD is doing everything it can to empower landowners and irrigation professionals to train smarter and use their water better,” said Jena Thomas, Development & Communications Specialist at Deschutes SWCD. “We want to ensure the health and longevity of farms across the region, and we hope that investing in our community arms people with the skills they need to build resilience for years to come.”

Registration is now open. For more information and to reserve a spot, visit deschutesswcd.org/irrigation-water-management-online-course-field-training-registration.
