The Latino Community Association (LCA) will roll out the red carpet and rock the Riverhouse with its fifth annual Gala de Oro (Golden Gala) fundraiser on May 11. Guests will taste Latin American-inspired food, enjoy high-spirited dancing, learn about the Association’s programs and impact, and contribute to the wellbeing and full participation of our immigrant families in Central Oregon.

Doors open at 5pm at the Riverhouse, 3075 N. Business Highway 97 in Bend, for margaritas, craft beer and wine by the river. Dinner and program start at 6:30pm. This year’s Emcee will be Shanan Kelley, creator of the Night Light Show in Bend. While a dinner ticket includes access to the dance, it is optional. Doors open for the dance at 8pm where guests will enjoy heavy appetizers, dance performances, a quick dance lesson and live music and dancing with Portland’s 12-piece band Conjunto Alegre. Tickets for the full evening include dinner, stories about LCA clients, raffles, a silent auction and the dance (optional) from 8pm to midnight. Separate tickets are available for the dance portion only.

The Gala raises funds for LCA to provide life-changing help with employment, health, legal assistance, and English and citizenship classes, plus advocacy for Latino youth and families in Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties. Each year over 8,000 people are impacted.
