Central Oregon Community College offers a two-day course that meets the CCB education requirement for people to become licensed contractors.

A live class with instructor ML Vidas will take place at the COCC Redmond Campus on January 17 & 18. The pre-license course is based on the Oregon version of the NASCLA Contractors Guide to Business, Law and Project Management, as required by the Oregon Construction Contractors Board.

This test preparation course is regularly available through COCC as a live class in Central Oregon, plus as an online course year-round.

The Contractors CCB Test Education Course will take place Friday and Saturday, January 17 & 18 from 8:00am-5:30pm. The cost is $379, which includes the required manual.

This 16-hour live course satisfies the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) educational requirements to become a licensed contractor in Oregon. Upon completion of the course you will be eligible to take the state-mandated test (PSI exam fee of $60 not included in class fee).

Call 541-383-7290, email to ccb@cocc.edu or register online.

Do you already have your CCB license?

If you are already a licensed contractor looking for some basic business knowledge that will also count towards your continuing education requirements, then take a class with COCC’s Small Business Development Center. Most existing contractors in Oregon must complete continuing education every two years to renew their licenses. Business-related classes taken through the SBDC can contribute to the hours needed to renew your license with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board.
