Downtown Bend, Oregon Occupancy Jumps to 97 Percent as Eight New Businesses Open

0

The Downtown Bend Business Association announces the occupancy for 3rd quarter of 2015 and new businesses opening. Occupancy in the downtown district rose one percentage point over last quarter to 97 percent. The occupancy rate is based upon the number of leased street level retail/restaurant spaces in the downtown district.

“Eight new businesses opened this quarter or are planning to open in the coming weeks once renovations are made to the interior of the leased spaces,” says DBBA Executive Director Rod Porsche. “We’re excited to welcome these new businesses to Downtown Bend and our organization will help promote them through marketing, events and other programs.”

New businesses starting up this quarter are located on:

Bond Street
1043 Bond – White Water Taphouse. This new business across from Deschutes offers 30 rotating taps of craft beer, cider and wine. Growler refills too!

Minnesota
5 Minnesota #106 – this long vacant space across from the Oxford Hotel is now occupied by EverBank Home Lending.

112 Minnesota – Bendy Dog is a unique shop catering to the artsy dog lover opening in July.

Wall Street
831 Wall – Lark Mountain Modern has opened in the recently restored building south of Tower Theatre. Lark offers well-crafted objects and décor that combine stellar design with natural materials and functionality. Same ownership as the popular Lone Crow Bungalow, also on Wall St.

855 Wall – Clutch and Active Girl are set to open in the space previously occupied by Dalia’s, which recently closed due to owner retirement. They hope to be open in time for First Friday, November 6th under the new name of Clementine Urban Mercantile! These businesses relocated from 933 Wall, which is now for lease.

869 Wall – Crow’s Feet Commons Bikes is now open in the space previously occupied by Paul Scott Gallery.

1020 Wall – The interior construction has begun in the old Edman Fine Furniture building to create Duda’s Billiard Hall, which hopes to be open in early 2016.

1000 Wall – A newly developed space in the 1000 Wall Street building has been leased by The Capitol. The business, set to open soon, will offer food, drink, and live music in a hip underground space off Oregon Avenue (underneath Patagonia).
