Joining The Spot and Initiative Brewing as new food options in downtown Madras, Emma’s Café, which officially opened in July 2025 with great fanfare and a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting, is changing its name to La Estacion Mexican Restaurant. Accompanying the name change is a new logo featuring a locomotive at full steam bordered by an assortment of colorful vegetation.
Praised for its “fresh ingredients, generous portions, comfortable atmosphere, and friendly service,” Emma’s Café specializes in authentic Mexican dishes like street tacos, birria, carne asada, and shrimp tacos capeados. The owners are described as “lovely and supportive of the community.”
Located on the first floor of the Harriman Building on Fourth and D streets, Emma’s Cafe is open from 9am-9pm, Wednesday-Sunday.
