Drive a bus, see Zamboni, tour production kitchen
You don’t have to be a teacher to work for local schools. Bend-La Pine Schools is currently hiring for a wide range of classified staff positions that offer competitive wages, excellent benefits and a variety of working hours. Explore the variety of career opportunities during an interactive Job Fair Saturday, November 5 from 10am to 2pm at Bend Senior High School.
Community members will be able to take a bus for a drive in the school parking lot. Visitors can see first-hand our maintenance machinery and custodial equipment — including a bobcat, a towable lift, a stand-up lawn mower, a Zamboni and more — while learning about opportunities to join our teams. Visitors will also be able to tour our production kitchen on site.
“All of our staff members ultimately help make a positive difference in students’ lives,” said Terry Cashman, director of child nutrition and operations. “We support students so they can be successful in the classroom.”
Bend-La Pine Schools’ human resources staff members will be on hand at the event to answer questions about benefits and employment and to help interested individuals begin the application process via onsite computers. Some available positions include the opportunity to have summers and other school breaks off; other positions include generous time-off packages.
