Facebook has announced that it is accepting applications for the new cycle of its Community Action Grants (datacenters.fb.com/grants). These annual grants support the long-term vitality of Crook County by addressing local needs with financial support to nonprofit organizations and schools for projects that:

  • Put the power of technology to use for community benefit;
  • Connect people online or off;
  • Improve local science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.

Eligibility guidelines and an online application link are available at (datacenters.fb.com/grants). Applications are being accepted now through October 15. A Facebook page is not required to apply for a grant. Eligible organizations can apply at cybergrants.com/facebook/DataCenterGrantsUSA.

Here (facebook.com/PrinevilleDataCenter/posts) is information about the 2021 Facebook Community Grants recipients, which were announced in March 2021. The recipients included Crook County Kids Club (facebook.com/CrookCountyKidsClub) to support after-school educational programs for all Crook County elementary schools and Redemption House Ministries (facebook.com/Prinevilleredemptionhouse) to support housing and technology advocacy in Crook County, helping connect needy families with internet resources, housing opportunities and application assistance.
