GreenSavers announced today a call for nominations of outstanding, patient-facing healthcare workers in Portland and Central Oregon. The company will award three winners with free installations of American Standard Silver 16 Low Profile Air Conditioners, valued at $5,500 per installation.
“Healthcare workers stand as our best defense against COVID-19,” says Robert Hamerly, principal at GreenSavers. “They’re also the people that face the highest risk of becoming infected themselves. We want to show our appreciation for their service and sacrifice.”
To nominate someone else or oneself, complete a Healthcare Hero Nomination Form at greensavers.com/hero by June 15, 2020. The process takes five to 15 minutes.
In addition to considering the service of patient-facing healthcare workers, such as physicians, nurses, emergency responders and supporting staff, the Awards Committee will consider:
- Financial needs: Could the recipient afford a central AC system without the award?
- Building needs: Does the recipient’s home already have central air conditioning?
- Disadvantaged populations: Part of a historically disadvantaged population?
“We want healthcare workers to keep cool, sleep better, and come back to work refreshed. Their work matters now more than ever,” says Hamerly.
