Bend Ophthalmology to be anchor tenant in building near St. Charles Campus.
Getz Properties, LLC will break ground on a new medical building, The Janis, in spring 2015. Bend Ophthalmology, LLC is the anchor tenant, leasing 6,500+ square feet in the new building. An additional 8,000 square feet, all or in part, is available for lease.
The contemporary two story building was designed by Bend architectural firm BCA (Blaise Cacciola Architect LLC). Energy saving features include solar heated water and LED lighting, and landscaping designed for low water consumption. The Janis building will offer 67 full size parking spaces, including a secure under-building 15 space garage for tenants. The building also offers a gurney-sized elevator, natural lighting and spectacular mountain views.
The construction team for the Janis Building includes R&H Construction, general contractor; D’Agostino Parker, civil engineers; Jack Robinson and Sons, excavation contractor; Valorie Lukins, landscape design; and National Mortgage, financing.
The project is located at 2537 NE Conners inside the Woodlands Professional Office Park, which is accessed off 27th Street in Bend by either Conners Avenue, Courtney Drive, or from St. Charles Medical Center by way of interior streets.
The Janis Building will be the newest addition to the office park, which includes a variety of healthcare providers, including St. Charles Healthcare, Bend Urology, Partners in Care (Hospice), Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic, Deschutes County Medical Center and Bend Neurological Associates.
