Every stop will feature “rockstar” entrepreneurs from the first and newest cohort of community public offerings, including Bend’s very own MacDougall & Sons Batmakers.
CPO companies will be present at various tour stops to pitch their business, discuss their offering documents — and ready for investments from everyday Oregonians. Also making an appearance in Bend will be Amy Pearl, Hatch’s Executive Director and Heather Stafford of Business Oregon.
Hatch’s Executive Director Amy Pearl explains “Early this year, every person who lives in Oregon got to add new letters to the end of their name – ‘investor.’ For the first time in Oregon’s history, all Oregonians have the choice to put their money in the people, places, and products they love – right here in Oregon. We’re now real stakeholders in our economy!. This is the most transformative finance tool in the history of Oregon!”
This second tour represents the increasing interest in local investing in Oregon by city leaders across Oregon – tour sites have tripled with the launch of the Hatch Oregon Cities Network.
Interested Oregonians (aka potential investors!) can learn more about attending at hatchoregon.com/tour and peruse the companies at secure.hatchoregon.com.
This tour is in conjunction with Hatch Oregon, Oregon’s Small Business Development Centers, Clatsop Economic Development Resources, Willamette Innovators’ Network, Slow Money South Willamette Valley, Business Oregon, Klamath County Chamber of Commerce, Col-Pac, Sustainable Valley Technology Group and other Oregon organizations.
Hatch Oregon is a brand new economic engine for growing community capital. It’s a result of the work of Hatch Innovation, the nonprofit that pushed through Oregon’s new law enabling community investing.
