Giving Freedom, Strength & Mobility
The Healing Reins mission is to heal with horses. Every day our volunteers and staff do just that — through Therapeutic Riding and Carriage Driving classes, individual and group Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy sessions, Physical Therapy treatments and Veterans Horsemanship — all nationally accredited programs designed to improve quality of life.
Our professionally certified instructors, caring therapists and dedicated community volunteers are extensively trained and knowledgeable, making every session enjoyable, efficient and effective for participants ages 2-94.
Through relationships with horses, we’ve seen first words and first steps happen at our center. We’ve seen young people learn to make healthy choices and walk away from addiction and anger. And we’ve given freedom, strength and mobility to people who thought their days of adventure were over. Our specially selected, trained program horses help families talk about tough issues, allow children with social anxiety to give and receive affection, and strengthen the bodies and minds of more than 1,400 Central Oregonians each year.
We are excited to announce a new partnership with Treehouse Therapies, a pediatric Physical, Occupational, Speech & Behavioral Therapy clinic that will move onto the Healing Reins farm in November 2017!
