Innovative Ways to Boost Your Property Rental Business

0

The property space has probably been the most badly hit industry when it comes to the onset of the global pandemic, well aside from the actual health crisis we’re all facing. However, for small property owners, this is actually a good opportunity for you guys to improve on your current operations and survive this downtrend in the business against all odds. If you’re not convinced, then just take a look at these innovative ways to boost your property rental business and see for yourself.

Prioritize Safety and Security

This might sound something that’s not really innovative but it’s a requirement all business owners now have to deal with if they ever want to attract customers or clients back into their store, company, or establishment. All customers now want to see how a business can handle the onslaught of coronavirus cases and of course you must be ready. Research on all the effective tools necessary to do the work that needs to be done like disinfection, providing wipes, alcohol, and masks. You also need to think about how to purify your air or properly ventilate your space for the benefit of you and your guests.

Also, it’s probably best if you only take in guests who have themselves tested for Corona at least a few days before their scheduled stay.

Monitor What Others are Doing

You might miss out on a few things, so it’s best to find out what other property renters are doing. As far as we know, big companies or big hotels and all that faced a big wave of foreclosures because of Corona, so we know that we must focus on small operations and that’s where you come in. If you don’t know where to begin, as your local health department for a checklist on the rest of the requirements you need to do to keep your establishment clean and safe.

Target Domestic Travelers

You can’t really cater to foreigners right now because the risk of exposure and possible contamination is probably higher. Plus it’s also likely that there’s a shortage of foreign travellers to begin with because of the global health crisis that they’re also facing in their home country. So there isn’t really much choice but to look into getting clients within your area, possibly within your state, too.

Improve Parking Management

If you think valet parking services are too fancy and can’t be done by smaller players such as yourself, think again. There’s probably a big trade secret that you don’t know about and that’s professional parking management companies. These big guys do the task of finding the best parking spots for anyone, including your prospective clients, so they won’t have to waste time and energy looking for a parking space in a busy city area or even a small town,

Up Your Marketing Game

This is where pure innovation would lie. You have literally all the time in your world to ensure that your marketing strategy is perfect, especially for domestic travellers. You can invest in social media marketing or even other ways to reach a wider audience. It’s probably time to update your website if you have one or make one if you haven’t already. If that’s too tedious, then at least have a Facebook page or something so that your potential clients can reach you easier. Aside from all these, you can also rethink your current promos and revisit your cancellation policy to fit the needs of the current trend of the property space.

Tap into a New Market

Here’s probably another thing that could be big news for you. Did you know that some hotels are actually thriving nowadays because they twisted their target market from vacationers to… remote workers? Now there isn’t anything that’s stopping you from actually doing the same thing! Remote work is already being the workforce’s solution to a health crisis and its best that you learn how to capitalize on this. You can renovate your property space to look like a coworking office but better (at least in the health safety and security part) and breeze through the pandemic like a champ. After more than half a year of spending their working days at home, I’m almost certain that a lot of remote workers would want a change of scene to be more productive.

Any business that’s been badly affected by the pandemic should not think of simple shutting down. We should all revisit our fundamentals and think about ways we can innovate so we can survive these uncertain times. All we need is grit and a passion for service (and possibly tap into our emergency fund) to continue to thrive in this new normal environment.
