Central Oregon Community College (COCC) Continuing Education department offers a pathway to employment in the skilled trades and opportunities for local construction industry employers to hire employees with training.

Students will complete 72.5 hours of hands-on education and will earn a non-credit training certificate and a National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) blue card certification. Successful completion is based on attendance, conduct, performance evaluation and assessments in basic safety, construction math, hand and power tools, construction drawings, material handling, communication and employability skills and rigging.

The Core Concepts course helps students discover which direction they want to head in the trades and gives them the foundational skills to pursue employment or an apprenticeship.
