Deschutes Public Library to host free workshop on finding funders for nonprofit organizations.
Deschutes Public Library will host a free workshop on finding funders for nonprofit organizations on September 17 2014 from 11 am to 12pm at the downtown Bend branch. Registration is limited and required. A link to register online can be found on the library’s nonprofits webpage at: www.deschuteslibrary.org/nonprofits. Introduction to Finding Funders will be led by Nate Pedersen, Community Librarian at the downtown Bend branch. The workshop introduces the Foundation Directory Online, the Foundation Center’s top-tier database providing information on more than 100,000 grantmakers and more than a million grant records. Pedersen will offer tips on finding funders for your nonprofit organization by searching the database.
