Deschutes Public Library to host free workshop on finding funders for nonprofit organizations.

Deschutes Public Library will host a free workshop on finding funders for nonprofit organizations on September 17 2014 from 11 am to 12pm at the downtown Bend branch. Registration is limited and required. A link to register online can be found on the library’s nonprofits webpage at: www.deschuteslibrary.org/nonprofits. Interested people can also call the library to register at 541-617-7050.

Introduction to Finding Funders will be led by Nate Pedersen, Community Librarian at the downtown Bend branch. The workshop introduces the Foundation Directory Online, the Foundation Center’s top-tier database providing information on more than 100,000 grantmakers and more than a million grant records. Pedersen will offer tips on finding funders for your nonprofit organization by searching the database.

Participants are welcome to bring their own laptops to follow along. Questions or registration can be directed toward Pedersen at nathanp@deschuteslibrary.org or 541-617-7092.
