The Family Access Network (FAN) Foundation was the recipient of Jersey Mike’s 2018 March Month of Giving campaign at both Jersey Mike’s Bend locations. On March 28, Jersey Mike’s held the Day of Giving, where 100 percent of proceeds went directly to FAN. Friends of FAN and loyal Jersey Mike’s customers came in to support the initiative during lunch and dinner with the grand total for FAN at $6,114.  These funds will provide crucial FAN services for underprivileged children and families who live in Deschutes and Crook Counties through the life changing work of FAN advocates. This is the second year that FAN was chosen to be the recipient of the Bend Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving. Throughout the entire month of March, Jersey Mike’s raised over 6 million dollars for charities across the United States.

“FAN is so grateful for the partnership we have with Jersey Mike’s and would like to thank Jim, Robert and the rest of the wonderful Jersey Mike’s staff for their dedication to supporting low income children and families in Central Oregon.”  Julie Lyche, FAN Foundation executive director.

FAN began in January 1993 and currently employs 25 advocates in 52 public school (K-12) and early childhood sites in Deschutes and Crook counties.  FAN improves lives in the community by ensuring that children have access to basic-need services.  FAN is unique to Central Oregon, utilizing advocates to efficiently reach and connect disadvantaged children and their families with basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, and healthcare.
