Beckie Sibley and Dee Court of Toastmasters of Redmond have teamed up to help develop and strengthen the skills of tomorrow’s leaders.

For the past eight weeks a group of 12-15 students of the Redmond High School Marine Corps, Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, have been participating in and strengthening their skills in the Youth Leadership Program. This program was created by Toastmasters International has been sponsored locally by Toastmasters of Redmond.

The participating students have had the opportunity to learn and practice their leadership and speaking skills, have conducted and organized their own meetings, and have prepared, delivered, and offered constructive evaluations of other student’s speeches and presentations.

On April 19, at 7pm at Abby’s Pizza in Redmond, there will be a banquet and awards presentation to honor the Student Participants and all of the hard work and dedication they have put into completing this program. The Students will present polished and well prepared speeches, to their Families and loved ones who attend.

The public is invited to join us at Abby’s Pizza in Redmond to see how this group of
young people have learned to be effective communicators, stronger leaders and polished and professional presenters in the community they serve.
