HYDAWAY, a Bend startup whose collapsible reusable water bottles raised $263,000 on Kickstarter last year is helping to raise awareness of breast cancer and domestic violence in Central Oregon through a variety of October initiatives.
For every Rose (pink) and Grape (purple) bottle sold during the month of October, HYDAWAY will donate $1 to two local non-profits – Sarah’s Project and Saving Grace.
“As a hydration brand, our goal is to help people live healthier lives,” says HYDAWAY founder Niki Singlaub. “And giving back to our community is part of our company values. We thought that the vivid colors of our Rose and Grape bottles would be a perfect way to help raise awareness of these dedicated organizations.”
HYDAWAY will launch this month’s campaign at First Friday in downtown Bend on October 7. First Friday attendees will be able to meet HYDAWAY staff and learn more about the company and their giving campaign at Bluebird Coffee at 550 NW Franklin Avenue in Bend.
Attendees will also be given an opportunity to win HYDAWAY Bottles and Travel Cases by visiting two downtown stores – Outside In (845 Wall Street) and The Bend Store (224 Oregon Avenue).
In addition, customers across the country will be offered free shipping on any online order that contains a Rose or Grape bottle through the end of the month on the company’s website – https://hydawaybottle.com.
