Emily LaPlume is the founder and CEO of Saturday Swimwear, a brand created for women who want swimwear that supports an active, adventurous lifestyle. Raised in Southern New Hampshire and educated in Burlington, Vermont, she developed an early connection to the outdoors that continues to shape her work. The idea for Saturday Swimwear began during a year of international travel, when she started designing her own suits out of frustration with limited options. Emily has spent the past decade building the company as a solo founder with a focus on quality, function and thoughtful growth.

Saturday Swimwear, founded in 2016, was created to address a gap in the market by offering swimwear that combines fit, style and performance. Each piece is designed in Oregon and ethically produced in small batches in California using recycled and regenerated materials. Saturday Swimwear is a member of 1% for the Planet and sells direct to consumer and through a curated group of retail partners, with an emphasis on quality, sustainability and long-term growth.
