Early season snow once again blanketed Mt. Bachelor over the weekend, offering an early preview of winter as the resort heads into the final weeks of its summer season and begins gearing up for the 2026/27 ski season.
Summer operations are now running on fall hours, with the Bike Park, Scenic Chairlift Rides, and on-mountain amenities open Thursday through Sunday from 12-6pm through October 4, which will be the final day of summer operations.
Skiers and snowboarders can save by purchasing a Season Pass by September 30. Kids Ski Free passes and Outplay 365 passes — which include an Ikon Base Pass (adults only) and summer 2027 Bike Park access — will go off sale after September 30.
Mt. Bachelor will host its September Passholder Party tomorrow, September 15, at its new hotel property and community gathering space, Trailhead Lodge. The party starts at 5pm and will feature complimentary quick waxes and free beer (for the first 200 passholders), plus music by Oregon Fryer, libations from the Trailhead Café & Bar, pizza from Swig & Stone food truck, and a toast by Mt. Bachelor’s President and General Manager. Local nonprofit NatureConnect Central Oregon will have bird-themed activities for kids on the lawn, including feather investigation and crafts. Mt. Bachelor has committed to donating $1,000 to the Youth Nature Access Fund and encourages passholders to help this campaign reach its goal of $50,000 by October.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Central Oregon’s biggest winter hiring event, Job-A-Palooza, returns Saturday, September 19, at the Deschutes Brewery Tasting Room. The event connects job seekers with Mt. Bachelor hiring managers for the chance to learn about seasonal or year-round opportunities at Mt. Bachelor, and even apply and interview on-site. Attendees can also look forward to snacks, beverages, and raffle prizes including a snowboard, skis, goggles, YETI gear.
