New Restaurant and Retail Space Ready for Development in Crook County

Prineville’s northwest entrance is about to get a whole new look.

BVG Enterprises has purchased three buildings on 1051 NW Madras Highway in Prineville, a property the investment group has rebranded the Crooked River Court.

The Crooked River Court includes more than 18,000 square feet of commercial space, including an 8,142 square-foot anchor building that backs up to the scenic Crooked River Wetlands currently being developed by the City of Prineville.

“It’s a great location,” said Casey Kaiser, the executive director of the Crook County Chamber of Commerce. “It’s the gateway to the community for travelers coming from the north. People coming to Prineville from Portland, that’s the route they’re going to take.”

All three buildings are highly visible from the highway and share more than ample parking space. Building One in the Crooked River Court is 4,501 square feet, perfectly suited for an event or convention center with build out for a commercial kitchen possible. Building Two is an excellent restaurant opportunity at 5,536 square feet. As is Building 3, the 8,142 square-foot space that nestles against the Crooked River.

“Having a nice cluster of businesses out there, it’ll be a nice asset to the community,” Kaiser said. “It’s just a great location for business. The wetlands project and the new trail system, they’re just right behind there.”

BVG Enterprises owners Bill and Vicki Goodman said they’d love to see a mix of restaurants and retail in the Crooked River Court.
“A family-friendly retail /commercial center is what we’re hoping to establish,” Vicki said. “A diner or bistro, perhaps a small brewery or pizzeria. Ideally we can re-establish an event venue for large gatherings in the meeting hall, Building One. We’d also entertain other retail activity like shops, banks, an arcade, a service center, those sort of things.”

The Goodmans are offering $5 per square foot in tenant improvements and two months of abated rent for all three buildings.
