TourBend opened its doors September 3 in downtown Bend. As Bend’s only adventure agent, TourBend’s experienced staff of locals and outdoor enthusiasts are ready to help travelers choose the right guided tours, gear rentals, sightseeing trips and how-to classes to get the most out of their Central Oregon vacation, while easing the stress of planning an independent trip.
Owner and operator Brad Goettemoeller has more than 20 years of experience working in the tourism industry and has traveled throughout Europe and Central and South America. Goettemoeller is an avid kayaker, mountain biker, skier and hiker and is well rooted in the local community. He has been working in downtown Bend for years and observed many travelers who are looking for activities, but are not quite sure what to do.
“Bend has so many opportunities to have fun and sometimes the choices can be overwhelming… especially for visitors to the area,” Goettemoeller said. “While there are resources to help visitors plan their excursions, there is not one location that people can go to actually book all of the opportunities that are here in Central Oregon.”
