(bend, or, JUNE 14, 2011) The 22ND Annual Great Drake Park Duck Race officially kicked off with a special presentation at Bend’s Community Center. Representatives from various community organizations were presented a check for $61,000 by local Rotarians and event sponsors. The $61,000 represents the amount of money raised during the 2010 campaign.
Since 1989 the Great Rotary Duck Race has donated over $850,000 to Central Oregon charities, all supporting children and families in need. This year’s event is scheduled for Sunday, September 11, at Drake Park with great thanks to our sponsors; Northwest Community, Selco, OnPoint, and Mid Oregon Credit Union, “Credit Unions Working Together” along with Pacific Power.
