Madras, Ore. – The Board of Directors of Mountain View Hospital District has named Jeanine Gentry as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer.
Mountain View Hospital has been actively recruiting for the CEO position for the last eight months. During this time, the hospital has been led by Interim CEO, Joseph Smith.
“We are pleased to have Jeanie join the Executive Team of MVH and provide the leadership to guide our hospital as we build for our future,” said Janelle Orcutt, MVH Board Chair. “Joe has given us wonderful guidance in the past few months and we sincerely thank him for his time here at Mountain View.”
Gentry brings more than 13 years of demonstrated leadership and commitment to health care. She currently serves as Vice President of Allied Health Services for St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Libby, Mont. Gentry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Development from Brigham Young University, a Master’s of Healthcare Administration from Montana State University and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Gentry has an extensive HR background including time spent as a Human Resources Director for Futura Industries.

As part of a management agreement between Mountain View and St. Charles Health System, Gentry will be employed by St. Charles.

Gentry and her family will move from Libby, Mont. to Madras in early August. She will assume her new role as Chief Executive Officer on Aug. 15.
