JOIN US FOR THE POETS’ SAVING GRACE POETRY READING:
Date: Saturday July 16th

Time: 7 pm
Location: Rosie Bareis Community Campus

This is the second book of poetry written and published by Bend guys Larry Jacobs, Don Kunz, John Kvapil, Peter Lovering, and John Martin.  The book stimulates thoughtful conversation about the nature of family, home, and intimate relationships.  Their poems do not editorialize for a single point of view but explore complexities through invented characters and fictional voices.  And realizing that poetry about important issues can seem deadly serious, they have tried to make a book which is playful and fun to read.

As Saving Grace works to promote life free from violence, we believe that the issue of domestic violence and sexual assault is a community issue – and we need to take a stand together. Prevention is key and educating women and men about healthy relationships is an important part of our mission.  As we explore men’s roles in relationships and educate our youth, we are excited to partner together with these authors to promote healthy relationships and prevent violence from ever occurring.
