On Wednesday July 27th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm the Bethlehem Inn Board of Directors and staff will host a community Open House. The event will highlight the many services offered by the Inn along with a light BBQ at 5pm. Staff members and volunteers will be available to answer questions and conduct informal small-group tours.

“The Bethlehem Inn provides vital housing, meals and clothing for an average of 65 people per night including up to five families.  As the largest emergency shelter in Central Oregon, we have earned the reputation as a reliable and consistent provider of services needed to help those experiencing homeless move toward self-sufficiency,” declares Bethlehem Inn’s Executive Director, Gwenn Wysling.

“We invite the community to see firsthand the impact the Bethlehem Inn makes in offering a safe, secure and accountable environment for the residents,” Wysling adds.

Under the auspices of local faith communities and a broad base of volunteers, the Bethlehem Inn was established in 1999 to address the issue of homelessness in Central and Eastern Oregon.  The Bethlehem Inn has evolved from a temporary to a fulltime shelter 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
