Aerial Drones in Central Oregon

Unmanned aircraft in the skies above Central Oregon? We hear about aerial drones in the media and the military, but are we aware of how they might relate to Central Oregon? There is an effort to bring the drone‟ industry to our region in a big way yet it is not without controversy.

Join the next Talk of the Town as they discuss drones, also known as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) or Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), and the possible impact locally from the economy to the environment. They will hear from drone industry experts, local pilots, product designers, conservationists and more. Come ask your questions, give your input, and find out more.

Free and open to the public, Talk of the Town will host a panel to cover and discuss the topic in town hall format on Tuesday, August 2, 6:30pm at the Bend Airport in the Gibson Hangar (a.k.a., “The Red Hangar”). Due to limited seating, an RSVP is required.
