Oregon Environmental Council, in partnership with Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council, the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and others, is presenting a series of four “Stormwater Solutions” workshops aimed at helping attendees turn rain and snowmelt into valuable resources through Low Impact Development (LID) practices.
LID is a unique approach to land development that preserves natural resources and mimics natural systems for managing stormwater runoff while meeting development goals economically. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions about the costs and benefits of LID, see examples of on the ground projects, identify the key components of successful implementation, and glean lessons from other LID programs. The workshops have been tailored to Central Oregon’s unique climate and geography.
More information about Stormwater Solutions, including advanced registration details, is available at www.oeconline.org/stormwater.
