Saving Grace To Hold Volunteer Training to Assist Domestic Violence And Sexual Assault Survivors

0

Saving Grace has been a part of the Central Oregon community for nearly 35 years. Our goal is to promote a life without violence with free and confidential sheltering, support groups, therapy, a 24-hour hotline, and supervised visitation and exchange for parents.

For those who are interested in becoming more involved with Saving Grace, we are holding our semi-annual volunteer training over the course of three weeks during the month of October. The training will start Saturday, October 8 and run through Saturday, October 29th. The free 35-hour training will be held over a series of Tuesday and Thursday evenings and three Saturdays. This will prepare volunteers to work directly with the individuals and families that Saving Grace serves.

After the training, volunteers will be able help with a variety of services including; answering hotline calls, assisting shelter residents, facilitating support groups, working with children, and assisting at the Courthouse.

The mission of Saving Grace is to provide comprehensive family violence and sexual assault services and promote the value of living life free from violence.  For more information or to register for this training, please call Christina at 541-815-2976 or e-mail christina@saving-grace.org.
