Telluride’s Mountainfilm on Tour Comes to Bend
February 24 & 25 A Benefit for The Environmental Center
Two nights of high quality, thought-provoking films that celebrate mountain people, culture, adventure, conservation, and the power of film to create social change. The event showcases the very best of Mountainfilm in Telluride, Colorado, an annual film festival synonymous with the world’s finest filmmaking.
Each night will feature different films! And new this year will be two films by Oregon film maker John Waller, who will answer questions about his films each night.
Proceeds from the event will benefit The Environmental Center, a local non-profit organization that works to embed sustainability into daily life in Central Oregon. We help people live, work, play and learn in ways that will ensure a healthy future for people and the planet.
“We are thrilled to have Oregon filmmaker John Waller joining us at this year’s Mountainfilm on Tour.” says Mike Riley, executive director of The Environmental Center. “His films Into the Darkness and Treeverse will take viewers on a journey to the depths of the Earth and to a White Oak forest canopy high above Oregon. We’re excited to welcome John and his unique films this year!”
The event includes a raffle sponsored by Skjersaa’s Sports Shop and Bend Velo. Raffle prizes include a J. Livingston bicycle on Friday, skis on Saturday, outdoor gear, and additional prize packages from local businesses. Raffle tickets will be sold each night at the event.
