Local fencing academy, The New Oregon Fencibles, will expand and relocate to a retail space closer to the center of Bend. The school for swordsmanship has signed a new lease to occupy 2,135 square feet of space located at 1620 NE Third Street above Radio Shack.
Russell Huntamer and Steve Toomey, CCIM with Compass Commercial Real Estate Services represented the landlord, Penn Street, LLC and tenant, Bill Kullman/The New Oregon Fencibles, LLC in the negotiation of the lease.
The space was previously built-out as a martial arts studio and was formerly occupied by Roy Dean Academy (Brazilian Jujitsu). Huntamer also helped Roy Dean Academy find its new location at the base of College Way.
“Fencibles liked that the space was “turn-key” and significantly more convenient for most of its students, due to the central location,” said Huntamer.
New Oregon Fencibles joins O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, Radio Shack and Szechuan Restaurant in the center.
The Oregon Fencibles, LLC is listed with the Oregon Division of the United States Fencing Association (USFA). They plan to open in the space beginning in April. Visit www.fencewith.us for more information.
