Dan Barnett has headed companies for some of the world’s leading corporations including
Nestlé, Pillsbury, Weyerhaeuser, and Constellation Brands as well as running smaller private
companies. Barnett was the youngest officer of the Pillsbury Company and after a tripling
of the stock price of Constellation Brands, where he was president and CEO of the wine
division, retired at the age of 49. Barnett was Chief Operating Officer of Vistage
International, the world’s leading CEO membership organization. Barnett is currently CEO
and owner of The Primavera Company, a small real estate and natural gas company with
operations in three states.
A recognized expert on business, Barnett has appeared regularly on CNBC’s “Squawk Box”,
Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal to speak on CEO confidence and leadership. Named
“U.S. Speaker of the Year” by TEC Canada and given the “Fast Track” award by Vistage
International, Barnett is an internationally recognized speaker and consultant whose
leadership concepts – “Make or Break Execution: The Core of Success ” – has helped
thousands of companies throughout the world.
Barnett earned his B.S. from the University of Nevada and his MBA from the University of
Maryland. He is Chairman of the DRI Foundation Board (part of the Nevada System of
Higher Education) and serves on the board of TrendSource, a leader in business intelligence.
He is active in Sierra Angels, a venture capital group that finances start-up companies.
