The Recently Passed Bill will Improve Runways and Create UAV Testing Areas
A taxiway repaving project financed in part by the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program is underway at the Bend Municipal Airport. The project represents the importance of federal investment in infrastructure projects that create jobs at aviation related businesses.
Senator Wyden and local officials visited the project today to talk about the benefits to Oregon contained in the FAA bill, including the repaving project and creation of unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) testing areas, possibly in the southeastern Oregon. The bill also creates more direct flights from the West Coast to Washington, D.C.
