The citizens of Bend are invited to join Accelerate Bend kick-off event, presented by OSU-Cascades and Bend Broadband, on Thursday, May 24 at 7 pm at the Tower Theatre.
The event will highlight Bend 2030 Vision accomplishments, showcase current inspiring efforts, and accelerate the vision by re-engaging the community and bringing the community members back into the conversation.
Accelerate Bend will ask the community: “What’s your vision for Bend?” and start a conversation that will continue through six workshops during the coming summer focusing on key vision themes and culminating with a celebration in September. The goal is to bring a focused direction for the future and implement a few new citizen-generated ‘Accelerator Projects’.
In anticipation of the event, the community is asked to participate in an ongoing “What’s your vision?”-conversation on Bend 2030 Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bend2030 with new vision ideas from community members posted daily.
Admission to the Tower Theatre event is free, but pre-registration is required, available at www.towertheatre.org, 541-317-0700 or www.bend2030.org.
For more information, please contact Marika Smiley, Accelerate Bend Project Manager, at acceleratebend@gmail.com or 541-390-2832.
