Sisters is getting a Deschutes County School Based Health Center for youth ages birth to 20 years-old.
Celebrate the new clinic with Deschutes County next Friday, June 8 at 11am with a public groundbreaking, snacks and beverages. The groundbreaking happens near Sisters High School (1700 West McKinney Butte Road-Sisters, OR 97759) in the McKenzie Meadows development.
Once the clinic is open, fees are based on each family’s income and there’s no need for an appointment. Physical exams, immunizations, vision, dental, sports physicals, and many more health services will be offered!
Construction on the new 2,600 square-foot clinic building begins next month, and the clinic is expected to open in December. The new property will include a waiting room, lab area, medical and dental exam rooms, and counseling offices.
The land has been donated by the McKenzie Meadows development, the project is primarily being paid through a federal Health Resources and Services Administration grant. CS Construction of Bend has been selected as the general contractor for the project.
