Deschutes Children’s Foundation received $27,000 for general support and Family Access Network Foundation $36,000 to support development specialist position and for general support.
The Oregon Community Foundation made a total of $554,000 in grants to Central Oregon nonprofit organizations during its recent spring grant cycle. The grants were part of a total of over $8.7 million given statewide.
Grants in Central Oregon included $18,000 to Abilitree, to expand their job training, support and employment opportunity development programs for individuals with disabilities through the Individual Placement Initiative.
La Pine Parks and Recreation District received a $35,000 grant for renovations to the White School Building to transform it into the La Pine Event Center, a multi-use community facility.
Additional grants for Central Oregon include:
Advantage Smiles for Kids, Redmond, $7,000 to provide orthodontic and associated dental care for low-income, at-risk children throughout Oregon.
Crooked River Watershed Council, Prineville, $12,000 to increase organizational capacity to expand services to landowners and youth and general support.
