Mt. Bachelor Open for Public Skiing This Weekend

Mt. Bachelor will open for skiing and snowboarding Friday, June 29 through Sunday, July 1, with intermediate and advanced terrain off the summit, snow and weather conditions permitting. The official kick-off for summer activities, including scenic chairlift rides and Sunset Dinners, will remain Friday, July 6.

Mt. Bachelor will be open for skiing from 7:30am to 1pm Friday-Sunday, June 29 to July 1, with daily lift tickets priced at $30 for all ages. A reduced-rate $20 daily lift ticket will be offered to all 2011/12 full season, midweek and 12-day pass holders. Skiing and Snowboarding will be available from the Summit Express chair, accessible via Pine Marten Express located in the West Village base area.

Services will include ski and snowboard equipment rentals, the Bachelor Ski & Sport retail shop, along with on-mountain BBQ’s with live music at the Pine Marten Lodge on Saturday and Sunday. The first 250 guests purchasing lift tickets each day will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

Summer Operations

Beginning Friday, July 6, Mt. Bachelor will open its summer season activities and services including scenic chairlift rides, lunch at Scapolo’s Restaurant and the popular Sunset Dinners every Friday through Sunday evening at the Pine Marten Lodge. Sunset dinner reservations are recommended; call 541/ 383-1709 to make your July reservations before spaces fill.

Frisbee golf and summer dog sledding will open as soon as conditions allow.

Mt. Bachelor summer activities and services are available from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, Friday-Sunday, July 6 through September 2, 2012.
