Students in the program learn about wind turbine farms, hydro-electric systems, fuel-cell technology, solar power installations and other alternative energy systems. Wyden, a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, will meet with faculty and companies and other entities that have contributed to establishing the school’s energy engineering program and worked with faculty to design the curriculum.
Wyden will speak to the Oregon State Building Trades convention at 10am at River House, 3075 N. Business 97, Bend. He will address the Oregon Trucking Association annual meeting at 1:30pm, Eagle Crest Resort, Redmond.
