Chris Telfer and Greg Fowler announced the merger of their CPA practices recently to form a new CPA firm focused on helping business owners and investors grow and prosper. Fowler Telfer, LLC will offer a variety of consulting services including tax planning and preparation, business advisory services and consulting for non-profits.

“I’m thrilled to be teaming up with Greg,” says Telfer. “With his expertise, skill set and experience we’ll be able to provide a more robust level of service to our clients and work with them to grow their businesses.”

Telfer has been practicing as a CPA in Bend for over 30 years, catering to individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations.  She’ll be completing her four-year term as state senator for Deschutes County at the end of 2012 and will be focusing on her practice full-time. Telfer will continue to serve on various boards and commissions at the state-level utilizing her skills as a CPA, business owner and former legislator.

“It’s a privilege to be joining forces with Chris,” says Fowler of his new partner.  “We have a shared passion about the importance of entrepreneurs and business owners and their role in our local economy. I am excited to work together to help these business owners, and by extension, the entire Central Oregon economy, flourish. Having someone of her intelligence and expertise under the same roof will bring tremendous value to my clients.”

Fowler spent the formative stage of his career in public accounting at Ernst & Young, LLP before moving to the private sector where he spent time in the manufacturing and computer software sectors. He has more than 18 years of experience in tax and financial planning and continues to actively grow his practice. Fowler’s practice is focused on helping business owners, entrepreneurs and investors grow their business, maximize profits and minimize the impact of taxes on their bottom line.

Fowler Telfer, LLC will be moving offices by September 1 and will be located at 109 NW Greenwood Ave. Suite 102.   They will be hosting an open house in mid-September.
