Bend area residents are invited to a public forum on student success in higher education, to be held at the Oregon State University-Cascades Campus in Bend, September 26 at 3pm.
Oregon’s Governor-appointed Task Force on Higher Education Student and Institutional Success is looking for comments and suggestions: how can we increase student success in Oregon’s community colleges and universities?
Created by the Oregon Legislature in 2011, and appointed by Governor Kitzhaber, the Task Force is holding regional public forums across the state to collect public feedback on its efforts to increase graduation and completion rates for post-secondary students. Over the last nine months the Task Force has worked to draft a number of recommendations for legislative consideration and would like to hear from the public before submitting its report to the Oregon Legislature in October.
