The Downtown Bend Business Association announces four new businesses starting up and the current occupancy rate for the third quarter of 2012. The rate is based on the number of leased retail/restaurant spaces in the downtown district.
“We are excited that several spaces that had been vacant for some time are now filled,” says DBBA Executive Director Chuck Arnold.
Bond Street gains two new businesses. Noi Thai Cuisine (550 Franklin-entrance on Bond) opens in the space formerly occupied by Typhoon!. The restaurant offers spicy Northern Thailand cuisine.
O mo mo! (920 Bond Street) moves onto Bond Street in Downtown Bend from the Old Mill District. The popular hip store offers clothes, shoes and locally made jewelry.
Brooks Street will see the opening of Crow’s Feet Commons (875 Brooks Street in the former Arts Central headquarters) in a few weeks. The new shop will offer bike and ski sales, repairs as well as beverages in a welcoming community atmosphere.
541 Threads (5 Minnesota) has come to Minnesota Avenue across from the Oxford Hotel. The local apparel company donates proceeds from every purchase to support local food banks.
