State of Idaho Chooses GL Solutions of Bend

Ongoing support plan helps state agency implement GL Suite – expert regulatory software.

GL Solutions announced the signing of a new agreement with five Idaho Regulatory Boards. GL Solutions will provide the Bureau of Occupational Licenses, Board of Medicine, Board of Dentistry, Board of Pharmacy and Board of Veterinary Medicine a new automated system to process applications, track licensee information and consumer complaints, with ongoing support for all activities with GL Simple™, our premier technical support and service plan. This new ongoing maintenance agreement and support model provides dedicated, 24/7 technical support, secure hosting, licensing fees, along with future system changes, modifications and enhancements.

These agencies are charged with the regulation, licensing and inspection of professionals and practices within the state of Idaho. GL Solutions is tailoring GL Suite™- a proven government software solution used by dozens of regulatory agencies and state licensing boards – to provide a new, secure web-based system for expanding and enhancing their ability to process licenses, maintain records and furnish relevant data to the board, staff, constituents and public.

Additionally, with GL Simple, these boards were able to avoid the crippling upfront installation costs that are associated with a typical procurement, and will be able to amortize those costs over the length of the agreement. GL Simple will enable these Idaho Boards to acquire their new GL Suite system and support for a fixed, all-inclusive monthly fee. They will not only enjoy a new system that meets their current needs, but will also have the ability to address future, unforeseen changes with GL Simple whenever they wish.

“Our agency has a very small staff and operating budget, but our regulatory needs are just as complicated as other state agencies with tens of thousands of licensees. The option of subscribing to GL Solutions’ “Software as a Service” (SaaS) will allow our agency to move forward with regulatory software that will grow to meet our needs over the years.”

Carol P Youtz, Acting Executive Director

Idaho Board of Veterinary Medicine said: “GL Simple stands apart from traditional software installation and support models by allowing government regulatory authorities to quickly implement a solution that meets critical needs, and then continually improves their systems to better serve staff and constituents over time. Traditionally, large “turnkey” software installations require an agency to include every possible business process, workflow and database system nuance in one large software project. Inherently installations pose significant risk as agencies typically discover unmet needs after their system goes live online.

“With GL Simple, agencies avoid the pitfalls; failure to meet expectations and increased costs of large one-off software projects. Our clients do not have to worry about surprise unforeseen costs for later system upgrades as their GL Suite system evolves with them as their needs undoubtedly change. “

GL Simple strengthens the partnership and a long-term relationship GL Solutions cultivates with government regulatory agency and state licensing board clients to help them achieve operational excellence, improved productivity and public service.
