Neal Huston, AIA of Neal Huston & Associates, Architects Inc. announced a competition open to all professional designers, including architects, graphic designers, interior designers and artists.
There will be city competitions in each city and a final winner will be selected in each city. After the selection of the two city winners they will work together to combine their designs into one final logo representing the two cities.
The initial design should be a complete design representing both cities. It is expected that each designer will research various aspects of the other city and include them in the design. Consideration should be given to the similarities between the two cities and the uniqueness of the designer’s city. For example this might include the beauty of the local environment, recreational and cultural activities, history, business environment and location.
The theme “Bella Bend / Beautiful Belluno” should be incorporated in the design.
Basic Criteria for the Design:
- The design must be presented in two formats, black and white and color.
- The design must fit within a size of 8.5” x 11” or 20 x 28 cm.
- Consideration should be give to the fact that the final design must be joined with the design from the other city.
- Consideration should also be given to the idea the logo may be incorporated into a sculptural plaque to be displayed outside in a garden or on a building wall.
Submittal Requirements:
Submittals to be made in a large envelope with no external markings other than the entry number containing the following:
- Two sheets, one black and white and the other color, with the entry number on the back.
- Sheet size 8.5” x 11” or A4.
- Digital copies of the design in pdf format on CD disk, labeled only with the entry number.
- A sealed letter size envelope with no external markings other than the entry number containing the name and contact information for the entrant.
Registration: Is open to professionals as listed above. Those wishing to register must submit by email information listing their professional qualifications. There are no age requirements.

Judging: Each city will appoint a panel of judges to determine the winning entry for their individual city.
